Standing on the pile of smoldering ashes that used to be her mid-century rambler nestled upon a prestigious hill neighborhood, the client sought us out to help them rebuild, trusting that we could handle re-constructing a building set with history with utmost level of precision and expertise in order to meticulously recreate a new architecture with trace of the past. The process of taking an old and existing property and contemporizing it was nothing short of remarkable. The challenge of preserving the structure's unique foundations, balancing orientations to capture both sun and view along the famous Olympic Peninsula, pairing expert craftsmanship with attention to detail – all amidst tragedy – made completion an inspiring feat. The result is a home that stands as a testament to the power of beauty over adversity, somehow nodding to its classic mid-century components while completely beholden to natural elements. Truly stunning, the newly reimagined structure stands proudly today as a reminder that beauty can bloom again after disaster.
