MLK Apartment

Situated in the southern part of Seattle, the site is divided into two typologies: four townhomes and an eight-unit compact apartment building. Responding to the city zoning rule that allows overhanging bay windows to project beyond the setback lines, the design leverages this regulation to create more space. By interplaying with the projecting bay windows on alternating floors, an interesting facade is formed. This built form, created by the rules, showcases the creative interpretation of the architect.
